About Mesh Lab
Hi, I'm Eric.
I'm Eric Antonson — ham radio operator (K3EDA), US Army veteran (6.5 years active duty, 15J MOS, deployments to Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan), and the founder of Yeti Wurks LLC. I am also a engineer working for a large multinational corporation doing new product development, so I know what I'm doing.
I started building Meshtastic base stations because I needed them myself. I live in Minnesota and wanted to extend my mesh network to ridges and remote areas where there's no power. Every off-the-shelf solution required cobbling together a waterproof box, a solar controller, a battery, and an antenna, and hoping it didn't leak.
So I designed one that doesn't leak. That works year-round. That mounts to a standard pole in 10 minutes and just runs.
What I believe:
- Off-grid communication should be accessible, not intimidating
- Hardware should be overbuilt, not disposable
- Support should come from the person who designed it, not a chatbot
- Made in the USA means something
Every Yeti Wurks product is designed and assembled in Minnesota. I update, program, and test each one before it ships. If you have a question, you're talking to me, not a call center.
73,
Eric Antonson, K3EDA
